NEW YORK – In its continuing effort to educate consumers about window cord safety, the Window Covering Safety Council (WCSC), in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has distributed a window cord safety video to major social networking and video-sharing web sites, as well as local televisions newsroom websites around the country.

The video encourages parents and caregivers to check their window coverings for exposed or dangling cords that can pose a strangulation hazard to infants and young children, and to retrofit or replace them with today’s safer products.
